FULL PSYCHOLOGICAL & PSYCHIATRIC EVALUATION

A comprehensive psychological evaluation will be conducted to diagnose emotional, behavioral, or developmental disorders. Evaluations for children, adolescents, and adults are based on observed behaviors in relation to physical, genetic, environmental, social, cognitive (thinking), emotional, and educational factors. Once a diagnosis is made, family involvement and active participation in treatment are crucial for anyone with a mental health disorder. Peace of Mind Consultants will address questions and provide reassurance by working with you to establish both long-term and short-term treatment goals for your loved one.

MEDICATION MANAGEMENT

Mental health has long been a contentious topic in social discourse, often misunderstood and stigmatized. As mental health professionals, we take our advocacy role seriously, particularly in debunking the stigma around seeking help for mental illness. Perhaps no issue is more stigmatized than medication management. Peace of Mind Consultants uses a combination of treatments, such as psychotherapy, brain stimulation, supplements, and self-care, to reduce the symptoms of certain mental illnesses and meet our clients' and patients' needs.

BRIEF THERAPEUTIC INTERVENTION

We believe that planned, non-threatening mediation can positively affect the person in distress. Therapeutic interventions help modify behaviors that interfere with a person's well-being and the well-being of family and friends.

EXTENSIVE INDIVIDUAL THERAPY

Peace of Mind Consultants partners with local and international healthcare institutions to provide traditional individual and group therapy support to long-term care residents. Contact us for more information.

INTERDISCIPLINARY TEAM APPROACH

We at Peace of Mind Consultants believe in a collaborative team approach to providing holistic treatment. By collaborating with other multidisciplinary teams, we can focus on the physical and cognitive aspects of our clients' recovery, promoting overall health and providing the best care possible.

MEDICAL PRIMARY CARE & CONSULTATION

We offer collaborative Primary Care and Consultation Services through our Adult and Geriatric Medical Specialists. This service provides holistic health support and continuity of care in addressing our patients’ comorbid medical and mental health needs. If certain medical conditions require more specialized attention, our medical team will provide referrals and assistance in seeking preferred specialty medical providers for necessary treatment.

PHARMACY COLLABORATION

We coordinate with your facility’s consultant pharmacist to systematically manage psychotropic medications, ensuring they are effective and not causing risks.

PSYCHOTROPIC REDUCTION

While some medication interventions are medically necessary to achieve psychological stability, some come with greater risks. At Peace of Mind Consultants, we consistently evaluate and document the benefits and risks of each intervention. Our goal is to clinically support therapeutic and medical interventions at the lowest effective level while safely and gradually reducing or stopping medications that may no longer be appropriate. Our main goal is to treat patients without the use of psychotic medications whenever possible.

URGENT PSYCHOLOGICAL/BEHAVIORAL HEALTH CONSULTATION/CARE

We provide urgent psychological behavioral health support to facility staff and affiliated medical providers managing complex patients. We offer practical and concise clinical guidance in managing difficult behaviors during a crisis.

STAFF TRAINING / INSERVICING

At Peace of Mind Consultants, we pride ourselves on our capacity to deliver the most current research and evidence-based treatment. We attend annual Continuing Medical Education seminars throughout the country to advance our expertise. We are enthusiastic about sharing knowledge to aid providers and facility staff in delivering the highest quality care.

QUALITY ASSURANCE SUPPORT

A vital aspect of delivering quality patient healthcare is accountability. We stay informed on regulatory updates and assist our facilities in exceeding the standards related to psychiatric care.
